| We
need information on how to buy images and data on the December 7, 1988
earthquake that hit Armenia.
1. The National Geographic Data Center (NGDC) of the US Government supplies earthquake data. Find its URL. The NGCD URL: http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/ 2. Does the NGDC sell what we need? On what media (35mm slides, CD-ROM, paper...)? How much does it cost if we buy it online? The NGCD supplies its Spitak earthquake CD-ROM for US$75.00 if bought online. 3. Can you get a picture of the earthquake damage?
4. What else can be found on the Web related to this subject? See the article by Michael Treiberg, the Thousand Oaks, CA - Spitak, Armenia Sister City Committee's first junior ambassador in Spitak at http://www.clunet.edu/htdocs/CLUmag7/ feature3.html (Click on the Linking icon to go back) |
