The "Arasan" Armenian font

Arasan is a new Armenian font specially designed for the Web. It is an outline font that prints in high resolution, but also contains hand-crafted bitmaps that ensure high legibility on screen.

Arasan comes in Windows 95 and Macintosh versions, along with a choice of three keyboard layouts: The "Armenian - East (Armineh)" layout assigns the Armenian letters to their English phonetic equivalents according to eastern Armenian pronunciation; "Armenian - West (Papazian)" does the same for western Armenian; The "Armenian - Olympia" layout is arranged like an Olympia Armenian typewriter. Windows 3.1 users can also use Arasan, but will not be able to use the keyboard driver.

You may freely use the Arasan font for any non-commercial purpose, such as personal web page creation, word processing, etc. Arasan is designed by Hrant Papazian. You may redistribute Arasan to others, provided you do so free of charge and obligation, and that you include all of the above information, as well as the keyboard driver software.

If you already have Arasan, you can read the instuctions on how to use it to type or send email in different applications by clicking below.
