 Can
you find photographs of Yerevan on the Web? We need to
illustrate the city guide with interesting images of the main
sites of Yerevan, as well as pictures of daily life in the city.
Task: Find
photographs of Yerevan on the Web. Try to find at least one
related to a monument or landmark, and another illustrating life
in the city.

Try one or more of the following.
Go to http://www.corbis.com
and search for: Yerevan.
Go to Altavista,
click on the "Images" button and type in: Yerevan.
Go to Yahoo and type
in: pictures Yerevan.
Optional
Competition: For the front page of our city guide, we would
like you to create an image made up of a collage of digital
images and drawings. Perhaps you can scan a ticket from a show,
a train ticket, a poster or some other document and combine it
with photographs found on the Web or that you took yourself. Or
if you don't live there, you can scan photographs that your
parents took when they went on a trip to Yerevan, or something
from a textbook or brochure. Use these digitized images and a
paint program on the computer to create some original work of
collage symbolizing Yerevan.
The
deadline for this Image File Competition is January 24,
2000. Participation is optional, but if you come up with the
most interesting image file, your class can win a great prize.
