These are just four of many Armenian film directors. The Film
Ehibition booth will show a sample of Amenian cinema from around
the world.
1- We need
your help in researching the works of some Armenian directors.
Task: Visit
the IMDb Internet Movie Database at http://us.imdb.com
to find its list of 24 Armenian films and to collect the
following information:
a) The title and year of the movie directed by Mikael
Dovlatyan.
b) The genre, language and year of Suren Babayan's movie.
c) What movie did Atom Egoyan start shooting in September
1998?
d) The list of movies directed by Arutyun Khatchatryan
Hint:
In the IMDb Web site, click on the link "more search
options". This will bring up a page with different ways to
search for a movie. Go down to the "Word Search"
section at the bottom, type "Armenia" in the available
space and select "Country" from the pull-down menu
next to it.
2- Atom
Egoyan will make a special guest appearance at the booth. Can
you do some background research to introduce him?
Task: Find
the URLs of two main Web sites that provide information on
Egoyan. One of them contains the profiles of the people he works
with. Who is Atom's vision of an "Armenian Princess"
and his "sleeping muse"? Send us her photo and tell us
more about her.

Go to Yahoo and enter the
search text: "Atom Egoyan".
