Did you ever accidentally listened to or witness a dialogue in a public or private place (park, café, cultural center, wedding reception, home, school…) that captured your attention? Or something that made you think about the subject or tone of the conversation later on? Some overheard conversations can be quite revealing about a city.

Try to record in writing a very small part of a dialogue as you hear it, with only minor editing if needed. See if tells others something about the way people think and talk in your city, or some of the things that its residents are concerned or happy about. You should make sure that the city's identity is not too obvious in the conversation. It should be something that would be interesting even if translated to another language. You might want to tell us where the conversation occurred, but not too specifically.
