Instructions for Activity I

Mashtots Avenue is one of the principal arteries of Yerevan. Walking down the Avenue, you will come across the Madenataran, the Sayat-Nova square, the monument to the architect Alexander Tamanian, the Opera House and the Central Market, among many other points of interest.

Here is a map of Mashtots Avenue and its surroundings:

Perhaps you are wondering what the brown dots on the map represent. Let us explain. We would like to begin a new tradition by organizing "The First Annual Mashtots Avenue Festival" which will fill the Avenue with popular events, information booths, competitions and cultural exhibits.

There will be seven booths in different locations along the Avenue, which we have marked with those brown dots on the map. They represent themes such as Painting, Newspapers or the Weather, and we need your help in organizing them. Two of these are competitions in which we will ask you to participate once you are done with the organization task. These are the "Music Competition" and the "Yerevan Web Page Contest".

Choose at least two of the seven booths below which you would like to help organize. Click on each item to see its details, and jump into the Web to search for data.

And remember to start thinking ahead about your submission to the competitions!
