About this site

The e4d institute Web site reaches out to children, parents and educators worldwide with Armenian resources and projects.

Armenians are "the other world wide web." Covering both Armenia and its global diaspora, they form a varied and multifaceted network of communities linked by a shared historical and cultural protocol. The e4d institute site is an open forum for promoting initiatives concerned with the younger segment of this global network. The following are its main features.

  • Three Pomegranate Network (formerly the 3PN) links schools around the world in a collaborative network on the Internet. Students reach out to their peers, do research and publish their work online.
  • The Storyweb is a treasure chest of illustrated stories for three age groups. It is a constantly growing section of the e4d institute site, with original, public domain stories added regularly.
  • Miniatures is a photo gallery focussing on the world of children. Contributions from accomplished and professional photographers are occasionally added in interactive formats.
  • Creative Fingers puts young people's minds, hands and tools to work on fun arts and crafts projects. It develops their creativity as well as their manual and analytical skills.
  • The Open Forum is a place to share ideas, news, opinions and conversation. It is a part of the e4d institute site devoted to putting its users in touch with the Institute and each other.
  • The Resource Center is a source of material and information on education. It is where educators and parents will find everything from databases of schools to useful dictionaries and manuals.
